The front room in this house has a freestanding fireplace one of those round iron metal ones -like ski lodges -there is air-conditioning in this room keeps very comfortable in the heat of summer also fronting the golf course through this room are two windows which run the expanse of the room which is 25 and 30 feet the windows themselves are 6 x 12 (two of them) -like that so you're greeted with two postcard beauty as you enter the room- nice way to embrace the day. There is an office adjacent to the front room -and on the other side of the front room wall -then is the kitchen with an ample island in the middle to do whatever you have to do to cook your meal entertain that's quite a big island -next door to the kitchen area is a large dining room and two windows which keep it light. Every room has a window. There is a room off the dining room that is adjacent to the kitchen with the windows from the kitchen overlooking this room -it's a art studio and it's about 10 x 15' it has windows totally surrounding it. It would make a fine reading room also (the previous owner had it built for her two cockatiels. There's a pantry in the kitchen there's also quite a large pantry in the dining room and then also part of the end of the dining room is a bar in black quilted vinyl and bamboo vinyl barstools -and ample supply for pantry area here also with shelving. (+30 minutes = 400 calorie loss). The second bedroom, which has ample room for the king-size bed also has a window -all the rooms in this house have a window within them for that fresh air. This second bedroom also has a full bathroom which includes a large shower, and sink with a wall-size ornate mirror above the vanity. There's a hallway leading from the kitchen area to the third bedroom and that's where the washer and dryer stand elevated and with plenty of cupboards above them. Half of the floors are the easy to take care of slats of wood (pergola) --and then the places that are carpeted are the front room, the office the master bedroom, and the second bedroom -and the rest of the floors are the what are you call pergola (artificial-looking wood and easy care). The heating/furnace is gas forced air and very effective. The third bedroom has its own bathroom with breezes and a view coming in off the golf course - it has a large Jacuzzi shower and in this bathroom are cupboards covering one whole wall from ceiling to floor --some ample attractive storage -the other two bedrooms have the sliding mirrored wall units along a wall. Some with cedar. This third bedroom has its own "walk-in closet" which is about 12 x 15' and that is very nice -and also some cupboards within -storage in there --along with a heavy-duty safe that's bolted to the floor --there is an air-conditioning in this bedroom also. What I like most about this house is sitting on the deck whether it's 6am, 6pm or anytime- have a cuppa coffee or tea in the morning or afternoon whether it's to have a glass of wine to sit with friends it's a Pastoral peaceful rich environment which keeps telling me I'm on vacation -it's just a beautiful postcard backyard 1st green of the golf course. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The amenities that go along with them living in Palos Verdes Shores are as follows Palos Verdes Shores is a 55+ adult community in San Pedro California on the Palos Verdes peninsula -directly next to Trump International Golf Club which is in Rancho Palos Verdes right on the Pacific Coast. There is an opportunity for you to enjoy the sociableness of others in many groups here at PVS so in this I'll be talking about the pre-COVID days which yeah someday they'll be over hopefully soon. Today as I write this it's August 19, 2020. There are regular events that take place here in accordance with the season such as a New Year's Eve gala which is very fancy upscale type thing this is through the social club which I think cost $10 a year to join another thing they usually have is the what's it called you know March green St Patrick's Day and then they'll have the other timely holidays Valentines or honoring the military and they might have a speaker talk about his life in World War II where before -I'm saying is there are special events -there's usually a Halloween thing where you can dress up your doggy-wonderful dog park here brand-new with nice shade areas new seating -and other events I can think of according to the seasons would be oh July 4 where people meet at the flag pole to have an honorary service and the ride their red/white/blue decorated golf carts throughout the neighborhood of 225 homes- another event where management puts on a barbecue or the social club hotdogs hamburgers potato salad all that type of thing -and then usually during August there's a steak fry which is really good and so that's the special events here probably a lot more than I just mentioned. Then they'll have other events like bingo where you can win cash prizes that's pretty popular and they have popcorn there and that's a real fun night for the people who attend. The newsletter is always highlighting these events and the issues have pictures. There are clubs here a writing club -sometimes people teach arts and crafts like there was a really fun and exciting jewelry class which for those that went was pretty exciting -they have a whole arts and crafts section and then in that same building on certain days of the week there's a hairdresser and a nails/pedicure person. They have other things going on of course golf I believe at this point they have two golf clubs and then on Tuesday morning I know the women play golf so maybe that's another golf club -they also have what's called pickleball -they have four or five pool tables in the community center -they also have a hot spa there and a nice 83° pool -there's a weight room with all the exercise equipment you can think of from treadmill to lifting weights to--there's also tennis courts and pickleball I think I mentioned that -they keep the pool and spa really nice and clean -along with the pool and spa area there's also a regular hot steam sauna -one for women and -one for men plus showers- and the outdoor seating around the pool is beautiful new cushions --and there is a cookout area up by the pool area so if you'd want to have a large gathering -there you go -they also have an ice machine in that area too so it kinda takes care of you if you want to have a personal get together. And there's weddings held here -other celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays -because there's a nice big community room and then you just hire the people who want to work for it -turns out really nice you can you even with the cost of you using the the facilities like think the facilities are free but you have to use the good China and everything and it turns out real nice because it's easy too! So with that said every month there's a newsletter that's printed and it has a calendar on the back with all the events that are planned for the week typically there used to be an exercise class also and a yoga chair yoga and there's a swim class that meets every Monday Wednesday and Friday for an hour and a half and that's been a long-term beneficial thing that people enjoy and I have equipment for that in my golf cart garage and then I've mentioned the writing club and at this point there might be other people who want to lead clubs
